My Gosh! This year has gone by so quickly!
Oh, wait...
It's just January that's flown by... Just January, Paula.
It's been a full month! I've been working (very hard) with the first edit of my manuscript, working one-on-one with a ton of souls that are transforming deep soul shadows, and I had a fun visit with my daughter and her family in Texas, too!

(This is my grandgirl and I just before we went to run a few errands together. She wanted to look like Grandma, so she put on her glasses, black shirt, cardigan, and little boots.)
So, as I've been going through this very full few weeks, I have to admit that I've been pretty overwhelmed. It's been a lot with a heavy client load, trying to walk my talk with sleep health, exercise, daily quiet time, and honoring all of my loved ones. To be a little vulnerable, this first edit of my first manuscript brought out some tough emotions.
Let me first share that my editor is brilliant! She offered many enhancements to the manuscript, but digesting them all has been fairly overwhelming—not to mention the time, energy, and focus required to make them all! I wondered if I bit off more than I could chew. There were moments of imposter syndrome, and there were a few tears.
Gratefully, I remembered I'm a hypnotherapist!
So, I went to the toolbox I've been building since 2007, and today, I'll share some tools I use to change my energy, mindset, and, most of all, my subconscious mind when I know I need to.
1/ Choose the change you seek. If something about yourself makes you uncomfortable, angry, stressed, or less confident, know you can change it. You have free will, but you have to choose the change.
2/ Be mindful of your mind. What thoughts or beliefs are limiting? Is your mind telling the truth? Or is fear, overwhelm, stress, or exhaustion taking over?
3/ Catch and Release! As you are mindful of your mind, you will catch negative self-talk or beliefs that do not support your highest potential. When you catch these words or thoughts, say, "Cancel, cancel," and release them.
4/ Affirm the ideal! Your subconscious pays attention to your thoughts, voice, and handwriting. Use "I am" language to affirm the truth of what you ARE in present-tense statements. Feel into them.
5/ Suggestion and affirmation recordings. Guided meditations, visualizations, or hypnosis tracks on Sunlit Pathways, YouTube, Insight Timer, or any other platform will not only offer messages to your subconscious that could create amazing change, but they also offer powerful statements you can use when creating your own affirmations. There are literally millions of impressive free tracks available from generous healers, coaches, and producers all over the world.
6/ Subliminal Message recordings. Now, with any free track online, the goal is to find what is resonant. Consider duration, sound, vibe, messaging, and, most of all, how it makes you feel. If you don't like the way you feel, try another track or type of recording. Again, there are tons to choose from. My favorite right now is subliminal messaging and my favorite creator is Jessica Heslop.
7/ Align Divinely. I personally believe that our subconscious mind and our soul are one and the same. We have free will and can choose to struggle or to thrive. Most of this is about perspective. However, if we align our free will with Divine Will, the chances of greater insight, hope, faith, and flow are exponential (and we just feel better in general).
8/ Create a daily ritual. Any of these can take as little as two minutes, so practice any of these once (or twice) daily. Consistent, daily quiet time with your own inner voice in prayer or meditation, daily recordings, or daily journaling with your highest intentions and affirmations will create change quite rapidly. Bonus tip: Do it in the morning and set the foundation for your day.
9/ "Remember that time." Memory is an effective tool you can access at any time. The subconscious remembers everything. Intentionally focus on memories that feel good and utilize that vibration and emotion in the present to remind yourself that you know what feeling successful, peaceful, accomplished, or healthy feels like!
10/ Normalize Therapy! Hypnotherapy, EMDR, Emotional Freedom Technique, Talk Therapy, and many others offer help from professionals who support positive change. All positive change is welcomed into the subconscious! If you've been thinking about it, I know a gal.
"Every word you speak is an affirmation. The subconscious is always listening."
